Looking for goalkeeping training for summer 2011? Join our Junior Summer School for ages 8 – 12 years old
Last Line is gearing up for another goalkeeping packed summer with the Junior Summer School running from the 1st – 5th August.
What to expect on the Junior Summer School 2011?
- Learn the best way to make more saves with ease by working on the most important parts of every goalkeeper’s game
- Improve your keeper insticts by competing against your goalkeeper peers in intense games of goalie wars
- Challenge yourself in our small sided games, designed to allow you to take what you’ve learnt from the Last Line coaches and use it in real game situations.
- Each goalkeeper will receive a Last Line top & water bottle
Handling – Even top goalkeepers work on their handling constantly. Train with Last Line coaches who will test your hands and ensure you can improve your catching technique, making more saves and stopping more goals.
Footwork - The reason the top flight goalkeepers make difficult saves look easy is because they understand how to use and move their feet correctly. Learn drills to make you move faster and improve your goalkeeping.
Goalkeeper positioning – Last Line coaches will show you the best way to position yourself in goals. Whether you are new to 7-a-side football, or just moving into full size 11-a-side goals, we will teach you techniques to know where to stand at all times!
Reactions – Some of the most memorable saves throughout footballing history are often known as “reflex saves”. Whilst partly coming from instinct, learn ways of giving yourself the best opportunity to make the “impossible” saves possible
Diving – Diving is one of the impressive things a goalkeeper can do. It’s also something which requires a lot of practise to be able to do it correctly without injury. Last Line coaches will show you the correct way to dive and teach you how to make your extend your dives further and make those difficult saves possible
